The most prominent business news sources are reputable publications with large and respected readerships, such as The Wall Street Journal and USA Today.
What is a business?
A business is any entity that seeks profit from the production and sale of goods and services. This can include everything from a solo entrepreneur selling handmade crafts on the side to a massive corporation that employs thousands of people. A business can also be non-profit, which means that it exists for the purpose of benefitting society without the goal of making a profit.
Businesses are the backbone of any country’s economy and are responsible for bringing in income, creating jobs, building infrastructure and providing essential commodities. They are also the driving force behind research and development, as well as facilitating the movement of goods from one region to another. In the 21st century, advanced countries are those that have the most developed businesses, and this is largely due to technological advances in communication and transportation that have allowed for more efficient and effective trading.
