Green River Trilogy
Three installations express the artist’s response to a local serial murderer and the stereotyping by the media of his female victims as prostitutes who were teenage runaways. The Trilogy rewrites the narratives of the women who were either misrepresented or invisible. Newspaper photos of police carrying bodies from the pastoral wooded areas of Washington State illuminated the underbelly of Seattle culture.
